Is there a parameter for the short code where you can exclude the most recent post or posts? I’m trying to create a homepage design that has the most recent post as a large full-column post…then below that, have a 3 column grid of posts using Post Grid. I just don’t want the grid repeating that first post that’s already featured. It would be nice if Post Grid allowed to exclude the first “x” number of posts. Thanks!

    Hi,
    Thanks for your post,

The feature already in premium version you might looking for , you can exclude post by ID from “Post Grid”

Please see the screenshot how its look like

Please let me know for more help.

    Regards

Excluding a post by fixed ID is not ideal, because we want to exclude the “most recent” post from a category, and doing this manually each time is cumbersome. Ideally, I would like to have a page with the latest post featured, in full, and underneath have a Post Grid with that post removed, to avoid redundancy.

I am not sure which version you are using, pro version already has the feature “More Query Parameter” so that you can add more query arguments that support “WP_Query”

Please see the screenshot how to exclude category (in premium version)

Aha, I am using the free version, so didn’t see the “More Query Parameter”. It looks very useful.

On the other hand, for those looking to have a “featured” post from a category, and the grid for that category displayed below excluding the featured post, you can do this using the taxonomy and tag filters, choosing IN your desired category or categories, and NOT IN your tag group (I created one called “featured”).
