Hi.
thank you.
Some of my event do not jutify a complete post
Does it mean that some of your events do need a single page ? If true, we have to deal with different behaviors.
For a next release, I was thinking about adding a custom post-type “event” just to allow users to add markers on a map, but it could be use for non content events.
The reason why it’s not done yet is that this plugin was made to differ against other event plugins which doesn’t use the native post object, and many times, an event justify a post to explain it.
any opinion ?

Hi,
Wow, quick feedback / support, thanks!
I love the simplicity of the plugin and how it integrates with normal posts, thats great.
The issue is that i might have 6 events for the next month, and I will write a post with featured image for all of them.
Then I use the widget to display a list of the 6 events, all still great!
BUT i also want to display Fathers Day – 16 June in the widget list. But I do not want the post for fathers day to be on my blog page as there is nothing more to say except the day.
Does that make sense?
So I want to add the event of fathersday to a category called “noevents” and eclude posts assigned to category “noevents” from the blog page.
Many thanks

Ok, with an example it’s more explicit 🙂
So I see 4 ways :
- a parameter in shortcode/widget to exclude some posts from having a link, but the parameter could be obscure for many people
- a custom post-type which only appears in calendar/map without any link, but we take distance with the purpose of the plugin
- a settings on categories to add some specific behaviors, but which behaviors do make sens ?
- automatically do not link posts with empty content (could be set in the general settings page)
I’m seriously thinking about the 4th option.
a short description could be displayed using the excerpt.
Hi Bastien
I love the 4th option!
and in such case the Name & Date for that event do not link anyware.
If that is something you plan to incorporate, i’m going to stop searching right now and wait for it!
As it’s not a big development, I add put it in the next release, I’ll mark the topic as resolved when it’ll be done.
thank you
Hi, Bastien
I see screenshot, in this case I am lucky that WooThemes has this option built into their settings panel.
However this is only a temp fix as
1.) It only work for WooThemes
2.) The event, Fathers Day, is still clickable
So what I am saying is hat I’m looking forward to your new release!
Many thanks for the great service

Hi,
You’re lucky, I had a bug to fix, so I added the functionality by the way.
in the settings page, you can set the option : “Do not link posts with empty content”
