You can exclude pages by going into edit for that page and select: Disable the Social Author Bio on this page/post
Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Ciao Nick
In my products pages/post it doesn’t appear this option!
I have this option in my pages, in post pages but not in product pages/post so I cannot disable it anyway.
Do you have any hacks for me?
thanks
Can you be more specific is that a custom post type?

Very strange!
It appears to add a custom post type ‘shop’. But, if it were a traditional custom post type then by default it wouldn’t display the social author bio box.
Can you create me an admin account to take a look at it in action?
If so, then please email me the credentials to nick AT nickpowers.info
Sorry got buried under a pile of work. I’ll take a look tonight when I get home.
Hi Nick,
I would be interested to know how Akari and you managed to fix that, because I have the same trouble with product pages and also “placemarks” for google maps.
Thanks.
With Akari’s issue I did not do anything. When I followed his link it was working.
Do you have a link of where it is not working for you?
Nick
Thanks Nick, I have the issue each time I’m adding a plugin which is generating its own custom post type (you can’t see the hide/show social author bio in the edit mode for these new types).
I’ve added some html code with the social author bio so don’t worry if there is other stuff than the box :
– Easy digital downloads (product page) : http://www.parisasiatique.com/downloads/linde-a-paris-les-guides-du-paris-asiatique/
– Basic Google maps Placemarks (placemark page) : click on any pin in the map of Paris http://www.parisasiatique.com/les-meilleurs-restaurants-chinois-a-paris/
– Some random media page : http://www.parisasiatique.com/les-meilleurs-restaurants-chinois-a-paris/delices-du-shandong/
Do you think it’s better for me to use the social author bio shortcode rather than the “posts” option ? It will mean that I would have to add the shortcode at the bottom of every article… Is there a quick way to fix this ?
Thanks.
