    Hello, how are you?

I would like to block a URL on Google. This URL is generated automatically by Worpdress, not built into Page or Post.

    Any tips?

    Thanks. 🙂

  • Hey @razione!

Thank you for using Yoast SEO and for reaching out!

We understand that you are having pages generated automatically by WordPress and you don’t want them in Google.

Upon looking at the URL, we noticed this is an attachment page for your media file. This is indeed created by WordPress itself. However, we have a feature that those attachment page URLs get redirected to the media file instead of having the pages. You can find the relevant setting under Yoast SEO → Search Appearance → Media (tab) → “Redirect attachment URLs to the attachment itself?”. Set this to Yes. (our recommendation).

You can find the steps here too: https://yoast.com/help/redirect-image-attachment-urls/
