How can I exclude a global filter from certain categories?

I have created a universal tag filter that is filtering my product categories, however, I would like to exclude this filter from 3 sub categories of my 4 total categories. My default category is not showing in the options for which page to apply the filter to, only the sub categories are listed as options. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.

You can do it by CSS on the needed categories or update to the PRO version and create a couple of filter sets with different filters and place them on the needed categories.

Great, I use the pro version of the software. Where is the documentation for what I need to do? or do I need to make another category that isn’t my main category and then the option will be present?
