Excluding users from selecting categories?

    Hiya,

    I’d like to be able to exclude registered users of my wordpress site (contributors and authors) to tick categories when they post.

    This is to be able control what goes on to the front page, using Category Visibility plugin.

    Has anyone got any ideas if it would be possible to exclude users other that ‘administrators and editors’ from selecting categories on posts?

    In the meantime you could have searched in the Restriction plugins section:

    Try Limit Categories.

    Ok thanks, I’ll check it out. I have been looking through the wordpress pages for a long time, and through the plugins as well. As someone new to wordpress I’m less familiar with this sort of stuff, so it makes sense for me to ask for more support…

    You can ask for as much support as you need – and most likely you’ll receive it.
    Just don’t post the same question in two or more topics… that might result in deleting without warning!

    Also, this is NOT an advanced question, it’s a simple how-to.
