the expand block works as desired but it also opens an empty tab in browser.

It seems you’re using another plugin (Not Ultimate Blocks). Please check which plugin you’re using.

Yes. In the meantime I deactivated Ultimate Blocks and asked ChatGPT to write me a snippet.

It was a quicker solution.
