The Image Guide functionality shows the “expected dimensions” of each image. But I can’t find any explanation of what exactly does it mean, even though it’s mentioned a few times in the docs.

An example: I use a theme that allows a ~290x300px area for an image. I prepared an image at 320x320px (for simplicity). It looks great, but now the Image Guide says that the “expected size” is 578×600 and my image is 3.39x times smaller than expected. What gives?

    Hi there, @hmijail,

The “expected dimensions” in the Image Guide refer to the ideal size for an image to be displayed optimally on your site. This size is calculated based on your theme’s layout and design to ensure images load quickly and look good.

If your theme allows a 290x300px area, but the Image Guide suggests 578x600px, it might be due to responsive design considerations or other layout elements affecting the display size.

    Hope that answers your question!
