Expired Post

Can someone please tell me how to be able to mark a post as “expired” with an “expired” image going across my post, similar to what this blogger uses: http://www.couponproblog.com/2012/08/nabisco-cookies-coupon-for-first-50000.html/

Is there a plugin for this maybe? I am also wondering if there is a plugin that can notify me on a date I set, to update my content because it will have expired by that date.The plugins I seem to find all want to remove an expired post, but I would like to keep it posted and then just update that its expired or preferably be able to have an image that states “expired” on top of my post. Thanks in advance!
