I used your plugin to create a large gallery on a client site and they want to move it to a new site (where we’re starting from scratch). Is there a way to export my gallery and import it so I don’t have to rebuild it (including moving all the images manually) from scratch?

    Hello @skvandeusen

Thank you for reaching out and for using our Image Gallery Block plugin.

I understand you’d like to transfer a gallery created with the plugin to a new site without rebuilding it manually. Currently, the plugin doesn’t have a built-in export/import feature for galleries. However, you can achieve this by utilizing WordPress’s native tools:

    1. Export Content from the Original Site:
      • Navigate to Tools > Export in your WordPress dashboard.
      • Choose to export Pages or Posts, depending on where your gallery is located.
      • Download the export file.
    2. Import Content to the New Site:
      • On the new site, go to Tools > Import.
      • If prompted, install the WordPress Importer plugin.
      • Upload the export file you previously downloaded.
      • During the import process, ensure you select the option to Download and import file attachments. This will transfer the images used in your gallery to the new site’s media library.

        See the screencast here: v

Please note that this method will import the entire page or post containing the gallery.

If you need assistance with this process or have any other questions, feel free to let me know. I’m here to help.

    Warm regards,
