Users do often report issues with Excel, so we generally recommend using something like Google Sheets or Open Office instead.
Something in the conversion back and forth between XLSX seems to break something in the formatting/file, or add extra data to the file that messes up the import. You could try opening up the CSV file in a text editor, and compare what you see in a CSV file right after it’s exported with what you see in one that has been converted to XLSX and back. (I don’t have Excel here, so can’t test it myself)

Can xlsx install directly with customization? So I want to import as xlsx instead of csv. Is this possible ?
