    Hello,
I’m setting up my online shop using WooCommerce. I’m trying to export my products so can I have an excel file to change/add and to import.
However I’m experiencing trouble with the exporting. The custom attributes are not recognised and therefor not exported/imported. I have added these attributes per product and whilst there name (like “artist) is the same, their value is per product different (only 1 product made by “Picasso). Ideally I would get one excell file where I can write all these values before uploading them to my website. I have quite a few attributes so the excell file would safe me a lot of time.
    Thanks for your help!

    Hey there!

The built in product exporter should export all default WooCommerce product meta, but no custom product meta.

If you are using the built in attributes, that should work, but if you added in meta from something else, it will not work.

Can you elaborate how you have yours set up?

    Hi there,

I have reopened the thread for you, could you answer the question in the previous reply?

    Hi,
I have added these custom fields per product. I need these attributes, like “artist”, to be different per product, not the standard attribute that woocommerce offers. The later does export but only works with fixed values. For instance if it would only 1 or two artists it would be fine, but every product is by a different one. Thats why I made them custom.

The problem that I have when I export them, I do get and CSV file with everything in it, but when I change values and try to import (for instance via ExtendWP plug-in), all my products are duplicated.

    I hope this makes sense?

    best,

    Niek

Hi @vintageartclub. The built-in import/export tools in WooCommerce do not support importing custom fields. One option that we support is to use Product CSV Import Suite.

When you import products with a csv file in WooCommerce, you can check the box to “Update existing products”. The product id or SKU in the file has to match the values in your WooCommerce store for the updates to occur.

    I hope that clarifies things.
