    Hi there Events Calendar team!

    Is there a way to export events from an older site and import them to a newer one? I used the WordPress import tool and while the events show up in the Events tab in the admin dashboard, they do not appear in the Calendar or the Events List widget. When I create NEW events, they show up, which leads me to think that I did my export/import incorrectly. Could you point me towards how to do that correctly please?

    Thanks for reaching out! After reviewing the steps you described, this behavior is expected. Events use custom database tables, which is why the default WP Import tool isn’t able to process them correctly — it doesn’t recognize how those custom tables relate to the event data being imported.

    To resolve this, you can try resaving the imported events, or follow the steps outlined in this knowledgebase article: Fixing 404 Error on Single Event Pages After Importing Events Using WP All Import.

    Hi there Darian,

    So are you saying that the only way to properly export items is through WP All Export? The re-saving worked, but there is no way to do that in bulk, right? We need to go one-by-one through the events, is that right?

    Thank you for your message.

    You don’t necessarily need to export using WP All Export, especially if re-saving the event on the target site is working. However, I’m afraid you’re right. there’s no way to re-save events in bulk. You would have to go through each event.
