Hello, I’m just preparing a new website for a client and the new website doesn’t have the old uploads directory.
What is the best way to transfer all configurations? The question is mainly about images. Too bad the plugin can’t download the original images and upload them to the new site.
I will be glad for any advice that will make the process easier. There are a lot of products so I would like to make my job easier at least.
Hello, I finally downloaded all the images from the configurator separately, split them into folders in uploads (using FTP) and modified the import paths.
It works in the configurator, unfortunately when I add an item to the cart, the thumbnails don’t show up.
I’m attaching a link and a screen of the json export piece.

As I said above, the images need to be added to the media library (i.e. they must be registered in the database), not just on the disk.
This is because the thumbnails in the cart (and in the configurator depending on the settings) might not use the original image size, but a smaller image generated by WordPress.
As you have now uploaded all the images via ftp, you can use an other plugin to register them in the database. You might then need to use a plugin such as Regenerate thumbnails in order to get all the required sizes.
Once they are in the database, you can use the Fix images tool mentioned above. This will look fix the attachment IDs in the configurator data, which are required for the thumbnails to work.
