Hi @reditech ,
I understand that you want to export/import from your test site to your production site. Let me help you with this.
You can use this as your guide in exporting: https://wpdataaccess.com/docs/data-apps-advanced-features/transfer-data-project-to-other-wordpress-site/
For importing, please see: https://wpdataaccess.com/docs/data-explorer-manage/imports-sql-csv/
When WP Data Access tables are copied from one site to another with an external tool, schema names are not updated. A script to fix this issue can be downloaded here:
https://wpdataaccess.com/docs/data-explorer-problems-and-solutions/transfer-to-other-wordpress-database/
It is also possible to copy/paste the code into the Query Builder and run the code interactively.
I hope this helps.
Let me know if you have questions.
Hi
I’ve followed the instructions but there still seems to be a problem. When I run the SQL Query it comes up with WordPress database error:Β ‘ironcladsister_women.ConvictsView’ is not VIEW
And when I try to load a certain table on the site, it comes up with ERROR: Table ‘ironcladsister_wpress.tblShips’ doesn’t exist
Obviously something isn’t quite correct following the migration.
Thanks
Andrew
Hi @reditech ,
I understand that you’re receiving some errors after migration.
Can you please send us the error logs for us to assess this better?
We’ll wait for your reply.
Can you assist with how I generate the error logs?
Hi @reditech,
It looks like you are using remote database connections. Is that correct? If so, please make sure your remote database connections have the same name on your new server.
Does this solve the issue?
Thanks,
Peter
Hi Peter
No, am using database on the same site. I have moved it from old site.
Thanks
Andrew
Are there dots in your table name Andrew?
If your open the Data Explorer, do you see table ironcladsister_women.ConvictsView? If you so, can you explore that table?
Thanks,
Peter
When I go into data explorer, I see ConvictsView and can open and explore that. There is nothing listed as ironcladsister_women.ConvictsView
Thanks
