Came here for a similar question. Which “old” extensions still work and which are replaced with the paid plans?
On https://tablepress.org/extensions/ you write “Some TablePress Extensions that were available in the past have been retired” but I am missing a list …
Hi @adisaputro25 and @zodiac1978,
thanks for your questions!
All previous Extensions should normally continue to work fine. I don’t expect them to suddenly stop working (and I won’t change anything in TablePress on purpose, to break or limit them or anything like that).
However, Extensions that have been replaced with Premium modules will no longer receive updates or support. And of course, the new Premium versions of TablePress directly integrate these features (with the option to turn them on or off), so that it’s not necessary to have separate plugins installed, and they now integrate nicely into the user interface. This makes their configuration much easier, and it’s no longer necessary to deal with Shortcode parameters where it’s easy make typos and similar mistakes. Most of them also have been enhanced and updated, compared with their old Extension counterparts. (For example, the “Stack” mode of the “Responsive Tables” module now can show the table head cells, which is not possible in the Extension.)
@adisaputro25: The three Extensions that you mention have not been integrated into the Premium versions and you can continue using them.
@zodiac1978: Essentially, everything that’s on https://tablepress.org/modules/ is either completely new or has replaced a previous TablePress Extension (if at all, I changed the names just very slightly). So, Extensions that are not in this list have not been replaced.
Best wishes,
Tobias
Thank you very much Tobias, It is clear for me now
Hi,
great to hear that! You are very welcome!
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
