Odd, does it happen with only youtu.be links, or regular youtube urls as well?
I’ve only needed to use Youtube URLs. Have not tried with other links.
I guess I didn’t answer that question properly. Yes, regular YouTube URL as well. It happens after I click the “Add to Library” button from the Add External Media section.
Screenshot of the second page at http://prntscr.com/539z5w. It’s as though the function is looking at the youtube video as a video file rather than a URL, since all other example are file types rather than URL. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
Even after I delete the /wp-content/… up to where the URL starts and click the Insert into Post button, it still tries to upload the file into my own content rather than using the URL video.
Yes, that is what the screenshot is showing. I used the normal link and it didn’t come out correctly either. It’s the same with the youtu.be link.
That is odd. Is there a way you can let us log in to view this? This doesn’t happen on my local install.
Is there an e-mail I can use to add a user to or a way to send the login?
support (at) jwplayer (dot) com.
Hello, I’ve added the user. The URL will contain …websitetestlink…
Please test it in the qwerty page.
Thank you.
Any chance this has been looked at?
What email address did you send it from?
It was a direct link with the password from the wordpress admin when I create the account. I just sent it back with the forgot password link.
Please email the support address directly and mention this thread, and someone from our team will reply to you.
Ok, thank you. I’ve sent the e-mail together with the required login info.
