How is it not working in your other site? Which link / menu item is not working as it should?

In my site tsirwah.com there are menus to other websites :
– Online Mondok
That’s not working.
In my site jurnalistik.tsirwah.com there is a menu called ‘TSIRWAH UTAMA’ meaning main domain of Tsirwah (tsirwah.com / other site / main site / different site / external) and it’s working good
Actually, I don’t know whether my understanding is correct or not regarding this feature, but I understand that this feature makes a website go to another website with a clean URL, as if the website is part of that website.

External Permalinks is for point a post/page to an external URL. So, instead of https://www.yoursite.com/an-article-about-something/ you can use to to set the post permalink to https://www.anothersite.com/some-page/. It applies to a post/page.
There’s another module called Open All External Links in a New Tab, which does what it says. If a menu item links to an external site, e.g. https://www.google.com, it will open it in a new browser tab. It will also check for external links within post/page content and applies the target=”_blank” automatically for those links to open in new browser tabs.
I hope that clarifies.

Sir, can you listen to this?
if I click ‘TSIRWAH UTAMA’ in the category in the jurnalistik.tsirwah.com menu
then it will lead to the main domain cleanly, without any random codes in the URL
but if I want to visit jurnalistik.tsirwah.com via tsirwah.com in the ‘ARTIKEL’ menu I find strange codes in the URL
and the speed is different.
so I thought that the purpose of this feature was to be able to open external sites cleanly and quickly, but it didn’t work on my tsirwah.com
please give directions

The strange code you see, _gl and ga parameters in the URL, is not coming from ASE. It’s coming from Google Analytics 4 “cross-domain measurement”: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10071811?hl=en
Marking this thread resolved for now as it’s unrelated to ASE.

I need an explanation that is easy for lay people
just to make sure, thanks

Please read the google support link I wrote above. That’s a good starting point. And then, google some more. This forum provides support only for issues related to ASE.
