Extra height padding automatically added to header

In the elementor editor, I have made the header to be thin, visible clearly in this image:

But on the front end, it automatically adds padding that I have not added:

I have tried clearing all caches, changing the theme, duplicating the section and deleting the old section, creating a new separate header altogether, but the problem still persists.

Why is the header height increasing on its own? This was not happening a few weeks ago. Not sure what changed.

Using latest version of plugin.
