    Hi,

    When i ad a image and txt in the facebook part for the Yoast meta box in wordpress nothing happpens. when i try to share a page it still shows the “old” page. same thing with posts.

    help is appreciated 🙂

  • @glekar We reviewed the source code of your page at http://www.smelandmedia.no and found that you have duplicate sets of Open Graph (the protocol that Facebook uses for metadata) in your code. This is going to cause a conflict, due to values for what the Yoast plugin is outputting differing from the other Open Graph tags, which in turn is causing Facebook to not read them. Whereas we cannot say exactly what plugin (or possibly the theme) is outputting the additional set of Open Graph tags, we would recommend performing a conflict check to determine this.

    As you perform the conflict check and disable a particular plugin, you should then check the source code of the page to see whether the additional set of Open Graph tags have been removed. Once you have determined which plugin or theme is causing the issue, we would then recommend configuring it so as not to output Open Graph information. After that, we would then recommend using the Facebook Sharing Debug tool to rescrape the page information as it can be cached, and you should then see the page displaying as expected based off your customizations.
