Facebook Ads Descriptions

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

The default field mapping for product descriptions is this one:

Alternatively when you save your product descriptions in the short description field on your product edit pages the field mapping needs to be this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hu8l9xdk3scxwck/FB-ProductDesc-2.png?dl=0

I suggest you try both field mappings, manually reprocess your feed and then check the content of your feed by opening it in your browser to see if the descriptions are in the feed.

What do you mean by:

Is there a way that a variant will still appear?

Appear where exactly?

You can put your product name in the description field when your descriptions are empty.

Just make sure you have this field mapping in place:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/woobyjtf1to85by/FB-ProdDesc-1.png?dl=0

And create a rule that looks like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ng3pmsve4ze2yi/EmptyDescRule.png?dl=0
