Hi, in advance of the ios14 changes that Apple will soon be making, WordPress websites are encouraged to install the Facebook/WordPress Conversion API plugin on their website. I just attempted an installation, but I have no idea if it worked. I followed screenshots and YouTube videos, but my screen looks nothing like anything in the documentation. For example, I don’t have anywhere to install the Facebook token on my website. It looks as though it’s connected to my business Facebook page, but I wasn’t looking to do that. In any case, does having Pixel Cat PRO installed on my website mean that I don’t need the Facebook CAPI installed? If I have succeeded in installing FB CAPI, will I be double-counting conversions? Thanks!

    Hi Dalepete,

    Thanks for your message.

Please note that Pixel Cat free and premium does not yet have a conversion API integration. We will be adding this feature in the future, but I cannot give a concrete date for its implementation.

If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to get back to us.

    All the best.

Thanks for the speedy reply, Gavin. It helps to know that I won’t be at risk of double-counting once I get the WordPress/Facebook Conversion API set up.

    Hi Dalepete,

    Thanks for following up.

Just to clarify, since Pixel Cat does not yet have integration with the Conversion API of Facebook, then there is no potential for double-counting.

However – if you had 2 plugins on your site, one like Pixel Cat and another for the Conversion API, then potentially you could have double-counting in that case.

If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to get back to us.

    All the best.

OK, I understand. Thanks for the extra clarification. I’ll need to keep that in mind.
