Facebook counts not working?

    This morning I noticed that the facebook count for a particular post was showing up as zero even though I KNOW the link has appeared on various FB groups, etc. I did a quick spot check of several posts (episodes of my show) and all of the facebook counts for them are zero too. And I know the episodes get a fair amount of likes and shared.

    Anyone else noticed this issue?

    Some questions:
    1) I’d always been under the impression that the Facebook count was for all activity related to the post, even if someone shared the link w/o clicking the simple share button. Is that true? Or does the plugin only count activity that occurs when someone clicks the facebook share button?

    2) My site uses a mix of http: and https: protocols. Is the plugin smart enough to count both http: and https: as the same url if everything else in the URL is the same?

    Hi all, as of 7pm this evening, the faceook counts are back. I’m guessing it was a temporary glitch at Facebook.
