    Hey all,
    Is there a reason when I share a blog post link on Facebook it doesn’t pull the image across? I’ve checked the YEOST SEO section and it says if there isn’t one, use the backup one. I’d like it to use the feature image. It just leaves a big white box with the text/info under that…

    Any ideas, would be ace! Thank you!

    Ben

    See what Facebook thinks it’s getting from your site with their debugger:

    @sterndata,

    Thanks for the reply! I’ve copy and pasted the link I’m sharing into the debugger and get the following:

    Share App ID Missing
    The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog..

    Image Unavailable
    Provided og:image, http://iambenmunro.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/pexels-photo-300412-min.jpeg could not be downloaded because it exceeded the maximum allowed sized of 8Mb or your server was too slow to respond.

    I’ve reduced the image size to 2MB and clicked the YEAOST social setting and uploaded the smaller file size image there to use that one and not the header image.

    Are you able to help? Still learning WordPress and getting to grips with the technical bits!

    Thanks,
    Ben

    You can ignore “The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided” but you may want to find an image smaller than 5K by 4K for that page. Once you do that, click the “rescrape” button.
