I have the same questions, in my case the minimize button doesn’t show, and I would like to put on the left side.

Regarding the window being collapsed by default, I’m afraid that there is not currently an option for this. However, it is possible to change the size of the box with some CSS. The ._94vf class can be used to target the box, like this:
._94vf {
width: 315px;
}
This can be add to the style.css file of your child theme or by using a free plugin like Simple Custom CSS.
CSS tweaks like this are technically beyond the scope of our support policy, though I hope that this helps get you started! 🙂
