Facebook Page required?

    Hi guys,

    I’m a little confused – is it required for a hashtag feed to have a Facebook page as well as an Instagram business profile?

    My customer has a business Insta-profile, and I have logged into his Facebook profile from the plugin’s “Settings” page (as confirmed by the “Business Integrations” page in his Facebook profile, which shows an integration with 10web) – but the plugin keeps insisting I need a user_id.

    Perhaps not incidentally, the main feed (using the “View your feed” button on the settings page) also doesn’t work; it says “Cannot get other user media” – but I’m not trying to get another user’s media.

    Please, if you can help me out here… At present nothing works for this customer, and he isn’t too happy about that.

    He also doesn’t want an FB page so I hope it isn’t a “must”…

    Hello Suzie (and team) –

    Thank you for getting back to me. Do I interpret your response in the direction that, at least when the update comes out, the hashtag feed will work with an Instagram business profile alone (i.e. Facebook page not mandatory)?

    Also thank you for looking into a fix for the current situation. Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Dear Jesper,

    Would you please double check whether you have installed the last update or not? It should have fixed the issue you have. Please, mention the version you have installed now.

    Thank you for your response (and link 😉 ) – looking at the info, I guess the answer to my initial question is “yes, you need a Facebook page for the hashtag feed to work”.

    Can you confirm that?
