Hello WordPress community,

I’m trying to remove the Facebook Recommend buttons from the post preview sections of the home page of my website

When I’ve tried removing the code for these buttons in the past, the formatting of the entire page gets distorted dramatically.

I think that the plugin for these buttons was already deleted, but I could be wrong.

Please help me figure out how to get these Facebook Recommend buttons removed safely without adversely affecting the entire format of the page.

I’m on WordPress 6.2 running Ocean Mist Theme.

The functions of this post manager would not let me upload screenshots in the form of JPEGs.

The quickest way is probably to just hide them with a little bit of CSS. Something like:

.fb-like {
display: none;
}

You should be able to add that via the Theme Customizer. See: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-easily-add-custom-css-to-your-wordpress-site/#custom-css-theme-customizer

@domokun That code for hiding the Facebook button did not work. I tried purging the SG Cache, as well after adding the CSS.

Hello @domokun .

Today I was able to use the code that you gave me. I inserted the code on a stylesheet for the index.php to hide the Facebook Recommend button.

It worked after putting it in the right place.
