Facebook share button shares wrong image

    I just noticed that if someone wants to share a posts and uses the shareaholic fb share button, it shares the homepage and a wrong photo, not the blog post. How is this?

    I have to say that I’m really disappointed with Shareaholics lately. There seems to be a new problem every week. I love using this plugin, but if things continue like this I might have to consider another 🙁

    Hi Sofie,

    It sounds like Facebook hasn’t crawled your site for the new information/images yet.

    Here’s the latest post on your blog: http://wonderfulwanderings.com/belgians-expats-new-zealand/

    Notice that it is now sharing the correct information when clicking the Facebook share button. To do this, all you need to do is run the URL into Facebook’s debugger tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

    Once you enter the URL, make sure to click “fetch new scrape information” and the image for that post will appear. This typically happens to newer post, so you don’t have to keep doing this.

    I did that but it still wasn’t showing; Might have been a caching issue then.

    Hello,
    I’m having the same issue and haven’t been able to solve it!
    When I try to share a post to Facebook from my site, at first on the light box appears to be correct, however when it’s published in Facebook it’s a random image of the site. It’s funny though because when I share this directly to Facebook, the image is the real featured image.

    I tried to debug the link by Facebook debugger, however I still get the same result.
