fail when wp-config.php one directory up

Hi,
great plugin you made ! As a good security practice it is recommended to move wp-config.php one directory up of the root, wordpress easily find the file but not your plugin, it fails silently, i had to view the page unstyled to get the alert about wp-config missing.
Is there a way to make your plugin more “intelligent” or to have the alert visible ?
