• Hello…I have a WP website called feltfootball.com. It’s a site devoted to football memorabilia. I want to create a second site that exactly the same, but devoted to baseball. I thought the easiest way to do this would be to clone the first site and then customize it for baseball. I used WPVivid Back up and everthing seemed to be working until I went to restore the uploaded files on my new site. About half way thru the restore, it fails with the following message:

    Restore failed: Error: WPVIVID_PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) :

Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Any idea what the issue is? The file size for the back up of the first site is 5.58 GB and it was split into 30 different files, which I uploaded to the first site one by one (didn’t zip it). I was especially careful to make sure I uploaded all 30.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thx,

    Rob

    Hello,

The error occurred because the zip file was either incomplete or corrupted. Here’s how to fix it:

    1. Create a new backup for your source site. Before you do, make sure to free up server disk space. You’ll generally need twice your website’s size in available disk space to successfully create a backup.
    2. Remove the problematic backup file from your target site’s backup list.
    3. Before restoring, verify and free up disk space on your target server. A successful restore requires at least double the website’s file size in free space.
    4. Finally, use an FTP client or cPanel file manager to upload the files to the /wpvividbackups folder. Then, click the ‘Scan uploaded or received backups’ button in the WPvivid plugin to display the backup files in the list, and proceed with the restore.

After that, let us know if the issue is resolved.

    Kind regards.
