Hi,

after the recent update the plugin somehow blocks PNG image files to be uploaded to the WP media library causing a HTTP error message. Jpeg format still works fine.

Had to deactivate the plugin to upload the files needed. Would be great if you could check what is causing this issue with the plugin.

Nothing has changed with the PNG optimization, but large PNG files can often take too long, and your webserver might drop the connection before it is finished processing.

Beyond that, I need a bit more information, because I have no trouble with PNG images on my dev site: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/important-read-before-posting-1?replies=1

They were actually really small PNG files like 80 KB. Nevertheless I tried it again just now and it works perfectly fine. 🙂
