Failed Restore after 99%
-
Code is BMI-9R3BOawI-68045. Importing a 1.6gig file using your fast restore link feature, the restore failed after about 99%. Please advise.
-
I’ve tried a couple more times – even increased the size of the linode I am hosted on. Each one fails at or around 98%. Most recent code is BMI-eNVK2IeI-31770.
I’ve made multiple attempts with different backup copies, all get to 98 or 99% and then fail. BMI-MWD2QKHS-00218
I’m a bit concerned as it appears no support request here has been answered in the last week. I hope that is a fluke, as I am under a tight time constraint on this migration.
Hi @srqwebguy2
No worries, your topic will have a reply within 24 hours 🙂
Your process failed at download step, restoration have not started yet.Seems like the backup gets downloaded, but the file itself seem to be damaged.
That’s why you receive “manifest missing” error. There may be a need to create new backup with adjusted settings.
Message you received in logs may appear when:
a) Your backup is broken or incomplete
b) URL your provided in Super-Quick Migration does not point to backup file
c) Backup URL is protected by your hosting or some security pluginPrimarily, check if backup you’ve created is visible in our plugin settings – backup(s) list.
That list can display only valid backups and if it’s not there it may mean it’s not restorable.
It can be caused by damaged files included in the backup, commonly from other backup plugins. In any case, make new backup with these settings applied:
Open first section of the plugin named: “What will be backed up?”
Find subsection named: “Exclude by folder / file name (case-sensitive)”
Here add these three rules, like on image: https://prnt.sc/9oftADPd_Z7e
– Save first section once you do thatThen follow these steps on the website where you created your backup:
1. Go to “Other options” section
2. Change backup method: https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa
3. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
4. Enable alternate download method: https://prnt.sc/1slr41w
5. Save “Other options” section
6. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tmOnce backup finish, check if it’s visible on backup(s) list and copy backup URL from here.
Go to the website where you want to restore that backup:
1. Go to “Other options” section
2. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
3. Save “Other options” section
4. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tmNow you can start restoration with Super-Quick Migration module once again.
If that won’t work, please repeat the “force both processes to stop” step.
Once you do that, download your backup and try to upload it manually. You can upload your backup via FTP, cPanel or our Upload Area.
Let me know if that resolves your issue 🙂
