Failed to activate with version php en wordpress 5.2

    Hello, I have installed this plugin, version 1.2.3, but when I activate it I see the error of below, even though the wordpress I have has php version 5.2 and in the plugin information it is compatible with version 5.1.
    Please, I need help, tell me how I can fix it

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /srv/www/dominios/www.aragongen.org/wp-content/plugins/birthday-emails/birthday-emails.php on line 366
