    Hi @ivie,

    Could you please check for any errors in your browser’s console while attempting to regenerate Critical CSS using Jetpack Boost? Here’s how to do it:

    1. Go to Jetpack → Boost in your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Open your browser’s console. If you’re using Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + J on Windows/Linux or Cmd + Option + J on Mac.
    3. Ensure the Critical CSS feature is active, then press ‘Regenerate’ and observe.

    If any errors pop up in the console, kindly capture a screenshot. You can use tools like Snipboard (https://snipboard.io/) or Imgur (https://imgur.com) to snapshot and share the image. Please paste the screenshot link in your response.

    We appreciate your cooperation!

    Hey there! I am also having this issue. Can anyone help me to fix it? When I asked for the error message, I got this: Page returned status code 403

    Thank you!

    Same issue for me. Fixed eventually by refreshing multiple times.

    Hi @ivie,

    Thank you for providing the screenshots. Unfortunately, they don’t immediately reveal the cause of the problem you’re encountering. Have you had a chance to temporarily deactivate all plugins to check if the issue still occurs? If things work fine with just the Boost plugin active, try reactivating the other plugins one by one, regenerating the Critical CSS each time to see when the issue reappears.

    @josesoplanucas, @shubhm, even though the issues seem similar, the underlying causes might differ, so it’s important to investigate each case individually. Also, in accordance with forum guidelines, please start your own thread for personalized assistance:

    @ivie hey!

    Do you recall if you were working across multiple tabs (for example, adding/editing content in one tab, while the generation was happening in another) and WordPress prompted you to log in?

    The reason I’m asking this is, because of the warnings in the screenshot you provided – there are references to the log-in prompt, so that suggests to me that you are getting logged-out. Whether that’s because you’re manually logging-out, or WordPress’ session expires and prompts you I’m not sure.

    Please note, that if you’re logging out in a tab, while the generation process is running in another, this will break it. While it is running, you need to be logged in until it finishes.

    You should actually be getting a 403 if that is the case. The screenshots note 404, so this is something else.

    I’ve noted this and we’ll see what improvements can be incorporated, so this doesn’t happen in the future.
