Failed to get data. Error: Google unknown user

    Help! This plugin has worked great for me until today. I use the Photonics Picasa tools to display Google photo albums on a dozen different web pages. Suddenly this afternoon all of my Picasa galleries are broken and showing errors:

    Failed to get data. Error:
    Start tag expected, ‘<‘ not found

    Data returned by Google:
    Unknown user.

    I went into Photonics Helpers for Picasa and it says “no albums found.” I tried setting up the Google photos section and the Helper for Google photos can’t find the albums there either.

    I went to one of your documentation pages (https://aquoid.com/plugins/photonic/picasa/picasa-albums/) and all your Picasa galleries are showing the same “failed to get data” errors instead of the galleries in Chrome and Firefox.

    Have martians taken over the plugin? Has my computer gone crazy? I have no idea what’s going wrong when they were working fine earlier today.

    This is probably a temporary issue at Google’s end. Nothing has changed in Photonic to cause this. I would give it a few hours – it should automatically get resolved.

    That being said, the Google Photos API seems to be running fine at Google’s end (see the documentation pages – all albums show up).

    You were right. Twelve hours later, the Photonics Picasa albums are now displaying correctly. Thanks for the advice! If it happens again I’ll know what to expect.

    Actually this got fixed last evening itself.

    Regardless, sometimes service providers suffer from some glitches and their APIs go down. This happens intermittently for the other providers as well.
