Hi there,
I have the same issue. Plus, I can’t change URLs anymore, as well as add new categories. It works if Yoast is disabled. So for now, when editing, I disable the plug-in and reactivate it when I’m done. But I hope for a better and more stable solution from Yoast.
Thanks
Laura
It is causing other plugins to fail loading and then the tools within the visual editor and elsewhere on a page/post do not work. When I deactivate Yoast, everything works fine.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes Yoast to respond to these type of questions?
Thanks
I am watching this forum and there is no answer in the past 3 weeks from any official yoast support employee, the only automated response i got from a ticket i opened was “We could not find your email in the subscriber list , so please sign up for just €79 (ex VAT) for 1 site – including 1 year free updates and support.
So there is no support for the free version, any alternatives ?
That’s a worry. I guess thats why other SEO plugins are gaining ground so quickly.
I’ll wait another week and then jump ship/plugin if there’s no reply. There are some great alternatives now which include more free features than Yoast so if theres no support then there is no reason to stay. The best alternatives include the option to migrate your old plugin settings into the new plugin so the migration is quick and easy.
I don’t want to link to alternatives here but google knows the answer.
Ahh… just found this on the main ww.wp.xz.cn yoast page:
The Yoast team does not always provide active support for the Yoast SEO plugin on the ww.wp.xz.cn forums, as we prioritize our email support. One-on-one email support is available to people who bought Yoast SEO Premium only.
Well, I guess one on one also means forum so bye-bye yoast. The statement should be clearer, it’s very badly written and seems to contradict itself.
The bs_component_buttons_script is not part of Yoast SEO. That being said, the last time I investigated this error; it was output by the Toolset Types plugin even when Yoast SEO was not active. Toolset Types released an update that fixed the issue. Please verify that you are using the most recent Toolset Types version and, if so, report the issue to the author or support team for Toolset Types.
If you are not using Toolset Types, there may be another plugin or theme that has a similar issue. Please rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen.
Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check without affecting normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Oh dear, that’s a problem as Toolset Types seems to have been discontinued https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/types/ and not updated for 9 months.
Thanks anyway
Steve
Steve,
We had the same problem and found download link to version 2.3.5 from here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/toolset-types-preventing-wp-5-0-editing/#post-10959110
It fixed the problem for us.
