@animesaulo
Thanks for all the info!
I believe the main issue is that Shopify recently stopped allowing the Collects data to be associated with Smart Collections. So this would blow up the syncing.
Do you have any Smart Collections in your Shopify store?
Thanks @andrewmrobbins , I appreciate the response.
Yes, I did have 3 Smart Collections setup in my Shopify store. Because of your feedback, I just deleted them. Then any products that weren’t assigned a collection after having deleted the Smart Collections, were reassigned to another Custom Collection.
After completing the steps above, I ran “Remove all synced data from WordPress” then ran a resync. The syncing is still getting stuck on the “Collects” step even after letting the sync run for 34 minutes.
@animesaulo
Would you mind changing the Items per request setting to 10, and also turning on Synchronous Requests? These can be found within thee plugin’s syncing settings.
After these are updated, try re-syncing again.
Unfortunately, @andrewmrobbins , that didn’t work either.
I followed the steps provided, but the sync still is getting stuck on the “Collects” step. The step reaches 100%, but it just hangs there forever. I waited about 20 minutes and and just didn’t complete the sync.
All other steps complete fine and have a green check mark. But, the “Collects” step doesn’t get the green check mark.
@animesaulo
Ok, in that case I think this must have something to do with the Collections during the sync.
I’m going to push out an update to the plugin that doesn’t sync Collections by default so you can test only syncing Products.
Hoping to have it out in a week or so.
Thanks for the help @andrewmrobbins .
No problem, thanks for being patient.
Hey @andrewmrobbins , I just updated to 2.2.6 and the problem still exists. Did the update include a fix for this?
@animesaulo
Sorry no the fix wasn’t included in 2.2.6. It’ll be in 3.0 which should be right around the corner.
Thanks @andrewmrobbins . Looking forward to the release of 3.0.
@animesaulo Did you find a solution? I have the same issue and can’t fix it. Thanks
@amaryllisbuf Not an immediate solution, but if you can wait another week I should have 3.0 out.
@amaryllisbuf Actually, I did find a solution to this issue a few days ago.
When I first installed the WP Shopify plugin, it was working great. Then I added a bunch of new products to my Shopify store using Shopify’s CSV import method. When I did this, it seemed like the plugin had issues and that’s when I submitted this support topic.
At first I thought it was the plugin and kept trying to fix the issue in WordPress. But, then I got to thinking that maybe the issue was occurring on Shopify’s end. It turned out that it was on Shopify’s end, kinda.
I’ll try to explain the the solution as best I can.
Originally, my Shopify store had 10 products that were added manually. Then 100+ products were added automatically using Shopify CSV import feature. The 100+ products were imported successfully and were added to the WP Shopify Private app Sales Channel. The 10 manually added products were also showing that they were available in the WP Shopify Private app Sales Channel. But, for some reason, the 10 manually products were not available in the WP Shopify Private app even though Shopify was showing they were. So, I then went into those 10 products, removed them from all Sales channels, saved the products, went back into the product, added the Sales channels back, saved the products. This fixed the issue for me. I also had to do the same to Collections in Shopify that were added manually.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions on my solution.
Thank you for your answer @animesaulo. It didn’t work but I hope Shopify team will help to fix it.
