Hi there!
I can understand how concerning it must be to see multiple failed transactions like that.
Could you please let us know which payment method was used for these failed orders (for example, WooPayments, Stripe, PayPal, etc.)?
It would also be helpful if you could share a screenshot of the order notes from one of the failed orders. You can use the following tool to share the screenshot:
Just take a screenshot, upload it there, and then share the link here so we can take a closer look.
Also, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:
- System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status
- Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share a link to that paste in reply here. Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.
Thank you.
The payment method is PayPal. I use the Woocommerce PayPal Payments plugin.
Please see the screenshot of one of the orders: https://snipboard.io/ogVBU2.jpg
The System Status Report is here: https://github.com/EmmaBrown10/status/blob/main/systemstatusreport
The Fatal Error log is here: https://github.com/EmmaBrown10/status/blob/main/fatal-error-logs
Thank you for your help.
Here’s another screenshot of the order as I noticed the other cut off a message under Order notes: https://snipboard.io/dUAXBN.jpg
Hi there!
Thanks for sharing the error message. This indicates that your site has reached the maximum PHP memory limit allowed by your server, which is currently 256MB. When WordPress or a plugin needs more memory than what is allocated, it results in the “Allowed memory size exhausted” error you’re seeing.
Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to help you increase the PHP memory limit. Alternatively, you can follow the steps in this guide on how to increase the PHP memory limit:
https://woocommerce.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/#section-2
Regarding the order notes:
The order notes indicate that the payment failed because the connected PayPal account is not enabled for card processing. This is a configuration issue on the PayPal side, and the transaction cannot be completed until that feature is activated.
To help resolve this, please contact the PayPal plugin support team so they can review the issue and guide you further. You can create a support ticket with them here:

Try disable paypal smart buttons
Hi @feelbeyondserene,
I appreciate you taking the time to jump in and share your suggestion with the thread. It is always encouraging to see users contributing ideas that may help move things forward.
Let’s have @emmabrown1012 try disabling the PayPal Smart Buttons along with the earlier recommendations already shared, then we can see how things behave from there. If the issue continues after testing these, we will be here to look into the next steps together.
Thank you again for adding your insight to the discussion.
It’s been a while since we heard back from you for this reason we are closing this thread.
If WooCommerce has been useful for your store and you appreciate the support you’ve received, we’d truly appreciate it if you could leave us a quick review here:
