Fallback with a Gmail
-
Hi,
I had an issue with mails not being send through port 465. It used to work fine and then suddenly it didn’t work. Nothing changed by me or the hosting.
I’ve changed to 587 and that works.
But I’d like to set up a fallback option with a gmail account. I’ve tried and tried, but I can’t get it to work.
When using Gmail as the primary smtp mail, I made the required Client ID etc. It worked fine, but I changed to my normal mail at my hosting, so it wouldn’t show the Gmail adress in the mails.
However, now I’d like to use that Gmail as a fallback.
The password is correct.
The email adress is correct.
The username I’ve written the same mailadress, also tried without the @gmail.com and with the name showed when sending mails from the account. Nothing works.
As far as I can tell, the fallback option is not using the same kind of authentication as when using Gmail for primary smtp.I hope it makes sense.
Thank you.
BR Jesper
