False positives issue

Hello, we have been receiving some relatively larger volume of false positive spam comments lately. It seems like it is happening on specific pages, not necessarily site wide, but that might just be happenstance based on links sent in our email campaigns to specific pages at the times the false positives are happening.

The readme of the plugin says that manual spam comments are not blocked, but in this case it is happening that manual comments are blocked sometimes. I wonder if your algorithm has got more sophisticated and the readme is not yet updated, or if there is a bug.

In any case it would be nice to have some controls to increase or decrease the manual spam blocking feature, even if it’s simply through a PHP filter. It would be nice to adjust manual spam blocking aggressiveness level across the website, or possibly even by page, or the ability to whitelist certain pages from blocking manual spam.

Also it is not clear from the documentation if the plugin is learning from what we mark “Not spam” to help improve the algorithm in the future.

Coincidentally I noticed a similar support topic opened 7 months ago but it was closed without any feedback. I hope you can offer some feedback and explanation or options how we can deal with false positives.
