• I’ve used Admin Columns on a few sites and it really does make customizing admin pages a breeze, something that is a real chore to do manually. The developer has done a fantastic job with the UI and the plugin is very flexible. Its commendable that there is such a fully featured free version and I was so impressed with it that I immediately went to purchase a license… then I saw the price. $250/yr for a developer license. For a small business that is prohibitively expensive. I’ve got developer licenses for ACF Pro ($100/yr) and WP Migrate DB Pro ($200/yr), but those are plugins I literally couldn’t work without. ACF Pro provides the foundation for my custom themes and I use WP Migrate DB Pro probably 10-15 times a day for deploying to staging and production. Admin Columns, as nice as it is, is just that… a nicety. Its not integral to development, I use it mostly to add a nice touch to an admin page here and there. I just can’t justify that cost vs functionality. If the developer license was priced more in line with ACF Pro I would definitely be on board.
