Have been advised that it is better to have a separate page for each FAQ whereas other believe they should all be placed on one page.
What is your current thinking on this?

  • Your question is a bit outside the scope of the support we provide. Giving SEO advice, in most cases, requires a deep analysis of your site to provide accurate advice for your specific setup, even for what may seem to be a simple question.

At Yoast, we want to help people improve their site and to make SEO attainable for everyone. So we offer Yoast Academy courses which are included in our Yoast SEO Premium subscription, several great plugins, and a comprehensive SEO blog.

We understand that not everyone has the interest or time to learn SEO. Our main advice at this point would be to check for a local SEO company and see if they can help out. If you are using a web development agency, you could ask them, as most agencies have at least a basic understanding of SEO as well – the good ones do.

    Hi,
Thanks, but I wasnt trying to solicit a full-blown treatise on the subject.
A single line saying generally “yes” or generally “no” would be perfectly sufficient.

    Hi @cullachie

We aren’t able to definitely answer if it would be better to have a single FAQ page or have multiple FAQ pages, as both could have their own merits.

It would seem to make sense to have a single FAQ page and compile all frequently asked questions on that singular page, but again, you’d have to consider what would be the best experience for your users and readers.

We have several articles that talk more about how to generate a great FAQ page here – https://yoast.com/video/ask-yoast-how-to-create-faq-page/ & https://yoast.com/how-to-build-an-faq-page/

If you’re planning on creating a FAQ page, we would also advise using our Yoast FAQ structured data block, as this can help with the appropriate structured data in order to output as a rich result in the search results – https://yoast.com/features/structured-data-blocks/faq-block/
