Faster Loading/ Permalinks

    I have read “http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Using_Permalinks” as well as other websites.

    It states: “For performance reasons, it is not a good idea to start your permalink structure with the category, tag, author, or postname fields.”

    Some applications such as bbpress do not seem to work very seamlessly with the recommended permalink structures. I’m worried about different pages loading slow for visitors. So I’m wondering, is this still an issue with the current version of WordPress?
