I’m trying to load this plug in and I’m getting a “fatal error”? I’m running WP 3.9 and Woo 2.1.7

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /hsphere/local/home/craigoooo0/murphyspoliceandfiresupply.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/weight-based-shipping-for-woocommerce/woocommerce-weight-based-shipping.php on line 610

    Help?

    Thanks,
    Craig

I’ve just updated plugin. Please check if new version works for you.

    Hi Dan,
I am using your plugin as a workaround to fixed cost shipping for my products.

    My test site is:
    http://lynnchang.com/kitty-planet/cart/

Here’s what I am doing for the cat collars I sell – yes cat collars and never do a cat business by the way.

    1 item | 0.2 lbs| $29.75/lb
    2 item | 0.4 lbs| $17.375/lb
    3 items | 0.6 lbs| 13.25/lb
    4 items | 0.8 lbs | 9.9375/lb

This works perfectly for 1, 2, 4 items. For the 3rd item – I get an error message: “Sorry, shipping is unavailable to the United States (US). If you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements please contact us.” Not sure why this method works perfectly for my collars (and litter screens) but not for 3 collars.

I have cleared my cache. Dis-enabled (if that is a word) and enabled it again – but always with the 3 items I have a problem.

I know this is strange how I am going this – but my customers buy either collars or litter screens rarely both – but I will make sure I put in some options for multiple products – and for the collars, just to make it challenging – I use fixed rate boxes for the first 2 collars.

    THANKS

    Lynn

    Hi Lynn,

Thank you for your great advice so I’ll never mess around with the cat business 😉

I played with your test site. Now it says “Please use the shipping calculator to see available shipping methods.” for 3 collars. Normally this message appears if only admin manually unchecked the “Enable the shipping calculator on the cart page” option. It looks like something changes the option at runtime causing effects you described.

First of all to investigate this we need to make sure that nothing affects weight based plugin behavior. To do this you need to disable all other plugins related to WooCommerce and check if this fixes the problem. If it does then you need to enable other plugins one-by-one until the problem returns.

Once we’ll know the name of the conflicting plugin I’ll have a chance to reproduce the issue and find a way to resolve it.

I moved this conversion to a separate topic like it actually should be. Please look there: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/shipping-is-unavailable-for-three-items .

    Hi,
I am back. I think everything is resolved with my issue above.

I deactivated all the plug-ins with the exception of WOOCOMMERCE and your plugin: Weight based shipping for Woocommerce. I have unchecked the shipping calculator on the cart page. Does that have to be on? I don’t want customers using the shipping calculator.

If it helps – previously the plugins were:
    Contact Form 7
    WP Google Fonts
    Post Type Order
    Regenerate Thumbnails

De-activating these did not help with it working. Even with them all de-activated, the table still does not work for 3 items.

    THANKS SO MUCH!

    L.
