Fatal Error

    Hi there. I have tried to install this plugin, and, when I try to activate it, I get the following error code:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/21/8249321/html/test/wp-content/plugins/zip-recipes/zip-recipes.php on line 36

    Can you please advise what might be causing this? Thanks!

    Hi amyrica,

    It means you hosting company has got you on PHP 5.2 or lower. Zip Recipes requires you to be on PHP 5.3 or higher.

    If you give me your hosts name, I might be able to find an article on how to fix this.

    Okay. Thanks so much for the quick response! I read into it a little, and it seems some old code is not compatible with new PHP some times. I think I have 14 sites, so I don’t know that I can risk upgrading my PHP at the moment. I’ll have to do a little more research.

    Np, @amyrica.

    Yeah, you’d want to be careful and not just switch PHP versions like that. However, if something relies on PHP 5.2, that’s not a good sign!
