    Hi,
When I try to update the plugin, it crashes the site.

Fatal error: Class ‘All_in_One_SEO_Pack_Compatible’ not found in /home/aitrey/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/inc/compatability/compat-wpml.php on line 12

Can you tell what is causing this?

    Thanks

That class definitely exists. It looks like the autoupdate system in WordPress may have failed.
Try manually downloading from https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/all-in-one-seo-pack.2.3.12.5.zip and installing

    Hi,
I was updating the all in one seo pack and nothing else. Are you saying there is something in wordpress auto update that can affect this?

Also, If I reinstall the plugin, will I lose all my settings that I made across the site regarding the all in one plugin?

    Thanks

I couldn’t possibly know what caused the issue. That’s my best guess. Plugin developers have nothing to do with the update process, that’s handled entirely by WordPress.

Also, If I reinstall the plugin, will I lose all my settings that I made across the site regarding the all in one plugin?

    No.

error 500 unable to load page

After I activated Yoast SEO, and OnPage plugins something went terribly wrong. I was able to get my site up & running again, but I can’t access WP control panel in order to edit my site. I keep getting suggestions to deactivate the plugins, but if I can’t access the control panel, I can’t do anything.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

I left the old plugin on the server (renamed so the site would work)
Uploaded the zip (from the link above) activated.
    Got the same error.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

@gleg, @hallsofmontezuma I go the exact same error. The latest update caused the issue on one server, but not on our dev server.

We’re looking into it, unfortunately so far we’ve been unable to reproduce it on our own servers.
Who is the hosting company you use for the server giving the error?

Thanks for checking into it. I know not being able to replicate an error is always a tough task

Update: on the one site we have access to, we’ve dermined this to be a caching issue. A partially cached version of the plugin is being served, and so it doesn’t see new files added.

Thanks very much @hallsofmontezuma, I’ll see if that’s the case for us as well.
