    Hello,

Can somebody please help. I tried to activate a theme that was already installed in my admin(evolve theme) and now i am getting the following error and can’t login to my wp admin anymore.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare _verify_activate_widget() (previously declared in /home8/applecr3/public_html/pspvergelijk/wp-content/themes/evolve White/functions.php:2941) in /home8/applecr3/public_html/pspvergelijk/wp-content/themes/evolve White/library/functions/functions.php on line 232

    thank you
    Mike

  • Sounds like you might have another theme or plugin which has the same function name, You will need to figure out which theme or plugin is the issue by turning off all themes and plugins and testing one by one until it breaks.

    1. Move all themes and plugins from the ~/wp-content/themes and ~/wp-content/plugins folders into a temporary folder else where on your server.

    2. Add the evolve theme and activate it again.

    3. Check the theme works.

    4. Add each theme and plugin one at a time testing each time.

    5. When you find the offender, email the developer of the offender and the evolve theme to advise them of the conflict so they can resolve this.

p.s. Make sure you didn’t accidentally install the theme twice!

Or you can delete the theme/plugins via FTP and reinstall manually but advices from tom should work.
