Fatal Error

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mb_regex_encoding() in \wp-content\plugins\simply-static\vendor\voku\portable-utf8\src\voku\helper\UTF8.php:525

I can activate the plugin after deleting line 525 in UTF8.php but the plugin doesn’t work properly without it.
