FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and delete the plugin’s folder in wp-content/plugins.
Which cache plugin did you install?

It seems like with some people it changes their .htaccess.

I uninstalled the plugin but now I get this error
W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /nfs/c04/h05/mnt/83633/domains/smallbizwebsites.com.au/html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.
What do i do now? I really appreciate the help, i’m lost with this..
Put the plugin back using FTP and then try posting in the plugin’s dedicated forum.

OMG, it’s fixed! I went in and deleted the above. What a heart attack!
This is my first wordpress site. Thank you all so much for your assistance. Is there a cache plug- in that anyone can recommend? Many thanks, kim

That’s the one that I tried to install..
W3TC is a great plugin. However, I prefer the WP Super Cache plugin with mod-rewrite.
The W3TC has SOO many options and settings. I’ve read about websites that have actually been slowed down.
