fatal error
-
I loaded an existing wordpress site from a file onto a new domain name and have done the necessary edits. When I try to load the site I am getting a fatal error message – Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp() in /home/content/51/7243451/html/designerhandbags/wp-blog-header.php on line 14
I don’t seem to be able to fix it. It is located on a wordpress site http://designerhandbags.net-discounts.info/
If anyone could help me find the error or at least tell me where I should be looking, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you

Lets try and install fresh copy in a folder and see if you have problems so download fresh copy upload in a folder and create a new database and run install program let install program create the wp-config.php file
I don’t know exactly how to do what you are suggesting. I can create a new database but I don’t know where you want me to upload the fresh copy to, where to create this fold and last, how to run install program. Also, what exactly do you mean by a fresh copy, a fresh copy of wordpress or a fresh copy of this website I am trying to recreate?
I was checking back on your url
http://designerhandbags.net-discounts.info/Why do you have .net and .info
and looking at error /home/content/51/7243451/html/designerhandbags I see html that must be your root and then you have designerhandbags looks like domain name is not set properly did you check with your host.
the root domain is net-discounts.info and I have a subdomain that I created and that is what wordpress is installed on. designerhandbags.net-discounts.info
Is this designerhandbags folder in html folder and do you have wordpress files and folders in designerhandbags folder
Hello rjmille10,
As govpatel suggested, installing a fresh copy of WordPress may be the way to go.
I thought you might want to see these instructions for moving WordPress:
http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Moving_WordPress
I’m not sure which situation applies to you (for example: moving to a completely different server, moving within the same server, etc.). Make sure you review the instructions that apply to your situation. Keep in mind too that your files you originally copied could be corrupted. It might be worth starting over with a fresh download of the original site files.
You could also try a fresh install on your new domain/subdomain. If you’re able to do a fresh install, you could then follow the instructions for Moving WordPress to a New Server with Fantastico from the Moving WordPress instructions above. The steps for moving over your old files to your new install would be the same.
Here are the instructions for installing WordPress, either manually or through several popular account management tools:
http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Installing_WordPress
Let us know how this goes for you.
